Here in the city you can only get the sparkler kind, nothing that goes in the air.

BUT if you go out a few miles, you can get the really good ones.

You just have to sign a waver that says you are using them for agricultural reasons!:confused3

To scare the birds I guess...

Nope, nothing in NY. They're legal in PA and I get flyers all the time in the mail. I'm not sure about Canada. PA is about 1.5 hours from my house and Canada is about 15 minutes ... not that I would even want any, I'd be too afraid that I would blow off my arm!

No. Not in NY. But we can buy about 1 hour 15 minutes away in PA. You just sign a waiver stating you are going to blow them off in Florida! :goodvibes

People do it all the time, and the cops on July 4th weekend, just look the other way. Last year ONE person in buffalo got a ticket and it was HEADLINE news...everyone was PISSED about it. Especially since it was found out that actual COPS were there watching the show! :lmao:

Same as the above...NY here and PA is about 60 - 90 minutes south of where I live.

The PA places are right outside the border for the most part and they advertise in a lot of the coupon type magazines that get delivered in your mail.

You can buy the crappy kind that are entertaining until you are about 6 years old and then fail to offer much entertainment value unless someone does something completely inappropriate with a whole bunch of them at once.

You have to head north to get the good stuff. With the drought conditions, I am not sure if they are selling them there this year or not. I haven't bought fireworks in years.

You can surely buy them in Ontario, Canada. But I don't know for how long. For the past couple years, there's been a rash of little thugs using the fireworks as toys - aiming them at passerbys, etc.

Fireworks of ALL sorts are sold here year-round in a lot of stores. We even have a dedicated fireworks store for this - which really strikes me as weird as we really do fireworks on Canada Day (July 1).

Can't do it in IL. They used to ignore it for the most part but every year someone would blow off a hand or set a neighbors house on fire so they really started cracking down. Gosh, we used to go to IN and buy some really big ones, too!:lmao: :rotfl:

Yep you can in KY. Nothing overly explosive. We all go to Tennessee to get those. Pickup some good moonshine on the way and you are all set to screw up, er I mean have a great time!

umm...i live in sc...we sell fireworks EVERYWHERE...even in the back of pick up trucks at the farmers market :)

I thought I heard that you could get them, thanks for the info. ... of course the only thing I ever bring back across the Peace Bridge is a couple bottles of wine. By the way, Happy Canada Day!

no can't buy them here..........but we just go to the NH border, not that far, and you can get good ones there:thumbsup2

The crazy thing is, you can BUY them here....but they are illegal to fire them off.:confused3 We would go buy them when I was a teen, but we had to "sayl" that we were taking them to a different state to fire them off....and I am sure they knew that we weren't, but as long as we "said" we were they were okay with it. :confused3 :rotfl:

And it sounds like a war zone on New years and the 4th.

Oh they have already started around here......

Shrek goes to bed early, and is not a happy camper these days!

"You need to go over there and tell them I need my sleep!" :sad2:

Ya right!!!!:lmao:

Started sunday... They say its the count down to the 4th. :lmao:

In Indiana, you can buy almost anything you want except for the industrial ones. But I've seen some of the comerical ones that you would think are just as big as the ones in Wishes. :scared1:

One package had those for $2000, can you imagine spending that much $$ for fireworks.

You are supposed to agree to take them out of state to shoot them off. But that never happens. It's crazy around here with all the fireworks going off.

In Kentucky, where I live now, you can have the ones that do not go off the ground. Kinda sucky for us here in Kentucky. :rotfl2:
