I know you can buy QS dining with the AP room discount still applied, but can you buy the reg dining plan (the $39. one) with an AP discount applied to a value room? Are you required to be staying a certain number of nights? Do they sell out of dining plans like they do rooms with discounts and packages or can dining be applied to any ressie even a week before arrival?:confused3

You can buy any dining plan - QS, regular or deluxe - on an annual passholder package and apply an AP room discount if one is available. There is no minimum stay on the regular packages, only on the free dining package (which is not eligible for the AP ticketless package or room discount). You can add dining to your reservation up to 3 days before your arrival. In the case of an AP reservation, this will most likely entail converting a room-only reservation to a package because you can get dining only with a package reservation. This means that if you convert the room-only to a package within 45 days of arrival, you will need to pay the entire cost of the package at the time you do the conversion, and you are then subject to the cancellation policies that apply to packages (you will be charged a fee if you cancel within 45 days of arrival).

So, I don't have to buy a 1 day park ticket even though it's considered a package?

If you buy an annual passholder room/dining package, you do not have to buy any tickets at all.

I have POP booked for one night with the AP rate with Deluxe Dining. I booked this for the night before we check into our DVC resort. So, it's possible, and I think a great idea! We're going to do a character breakfast, a good dinner and have a CS meal too. I'm excited--oh, and we'll get a mug!

I did this too, and you get the whole package (including luggage tags and coupons) just like you do with a regular package.
