Can you buy Apple Store gift cards anywhere besides the Apple Store or online?

Not iTunes cards, gift cards for the actual Apple Store. I'd like to ask for one for Christmas from DH, but the nearest Apple Store is about 40 miles from here and he doesn't shop online. Can he buy one anywhere else??? Walgreens maybe, they usually have a lot of gift cards. Anyone know? Thanks!

Maybe you could go to the apple website, find a phone number there, and call to ask if they sell gift cards anywhere. Maybe they let people buy a gift card over the phone.

If they are impossible to purchase, could he give you a pre-paid Mastercard or Visa to be used on that website? Or would that make the gift seem less fun?

You can get those cards at a lot of places (Staples, CVS), but they usually charge a fee. You have to pay the cashier more than the face value of the card.

Apple gift cards? I've seen them at Walmart and Target. I'm guessing they sell them anywhere Apple products are sold. Usually at the checkout lines!
