Can you bring your stroller & "store" it somewhere?

I know there's lockers but I wondered if we didn't need our stroller, or found we needed it later on if we could keep it somewhere until we were ready?

I ask bc altho DS is typically against his stroller, he does usually like it in crowds - AND it reclines back in case he were to nap. Yeah right. I'd like it - just in case. I didn't really want to rent one bc they don't recline.

last time we were at disneyland and brought our $300 stroller, we brought a bicycle chain lock and locked it to the iron wrought fences when we went for rides. you might want to consider parking it somewhere convenient.

I would park my stroller in the land we were in. If we were in Fantasyland I would park it by the carousel and we would walk to all the rides and then eventually move along to another area and park in the center of that land. This seemed to work well for us. I never left anything too important inside the basket except maybe some water bottles and jackets.

I had a maclaren and nothing ever happened to it.

Those are both good ideas. The lock bc we might be leaving it for a bit & parking it & then walking to the rides is a good point. If I folded it up & locked it it would be out of the way. I personally can't fathom a stroller being stolen, but it's good to be safe just in case.

Does Disney have a problem with this or would it be accepted I wonder?

from what I have heard. You can only lock a stroller to itself. Meaning lock the wheels. You can not lock it to anything. A CM needs to be able to move it if necessary..

We park ours by the Disneyland railroad main street stop. That way if we need to get it during the day we just hop on the railroad and it's right there. Or if we don't need it at all it's there when we exit.

If you lock your stroller TO something, be prepared to find your lock cut off and stroller moved when you come back. They can and do cut locks when they need to move a stroller. It is a fire hazard and a safety issue if they need to clear a walkway or put up ropes - walkways and seating areas appear and dissappear all day because of parades or shows, etc.

I'd be cautious of parking it "out of the way" as it makes it an easy target, especially if it is a nice one. Your best bet is to take it with you from land to land and park it in a stroller parking area in front of a ride, then take it when you move on.

Yes, do not lock your stroller to anything at DL, only to it's own wheels otherwise it WILL be cut. We always just park ours in a ride area and come back to it when we finish that land. For instance, we'll park it at Peter Pan, hit all of Fantasyland, then just move it over with us to the next land.

You will see TONS of very expensive strollers there, even more than Macs like I have and yours will be fine.

oops! my bad, sorry gave out bad info. however, we did do that back in '05 and did not have the lock cut (however, it was verrry slow in the parks). i'm so terrified of things i have getting stolen, and my husband has more anxiety than i do over it.

we're not planning on bringing the big bucks stroller this time, we got the disney visa and we're gonna try the free stroller rental.

This was a VERY informative post!!! Mine's a 2 yr old Chicco - a cheaper vesrion of the MacLaren.

So it looks like parking it w/ others in each land is the way to go - I really had this vision of pushing it into every line whether he was sitting in it or not! So this way is much better & eases my mind.

Thank you! thank you!!

Also, when I park our stroller, I park it backwards -- with the handle facing the fence and the seat sticking out, and I set the brake. This makes it a little less likely to be "borrowed", and it keeps the underbasket away from passing hands. I take our backpack, with camera and other valuables, but I'll leave sweatshirts and water in the stroller. We are AP's and have not had a stroller problem in our 3 years with DS, except for the time it was moved by a CM and we couldn't find it!

The CMs never move them far. Sometimes it takes a minute to search through all of the strollers, but they are easy to find. We frequently park our stroller, and we have left it for hours at a time and even exited the park to eat or make a run to the car, and we have never had any problems.
