HI DIS Friends,

We leave in 10 days for WDW!

Can we bring an umbrella stroller onto an airplane?

Not anymore. But as with any stroller, you can take it all the way to the plane and gate check it. Ask the associate at the gate counter for a gate check tag. Then you can wheel it all the way to the door, leave it there and they will have it waiting at the door on the other end.

:jumping4:
Yes you can take it all the way till you enter the plane.. Just remember to go and get a tag before getting in line to board --- less hassle.
We have done it for 3 years --- no problem.. We usual wait till one of the last ones on anyway --- so child don't have to sit on plane any longer then needed.... so really no one is waiting behind us boarding....** We are waiting for them** :smooth:

You can get it tagged and check it in at the gate, but keep in mind that it still goes into the baggage compartment and not in the front of the plane. The only reason we gate checked our umbrella stroller the last time we fkew was because we thought it would be less wear and tear on the stroller if it didn't have to be stored with the luggage. Saw them putting it underneath before we took off...the handle was bent when we retrieved it at the gate.

It still is less wear and tear, because it goes on TOP of the luggage, as opposed to UNDER several tons of suitcases. Also, depending on the plane, the compartment used for gate-check items may be a smaller one, separated from the main baggage compartment.
