My father is starting to annoy me. My parents, my dd and I are going to WDW in November. My dad is less than thrilled. First of all, he's terrified of flying and wants to drive down. I can't do that, since I work and can't get the extra days off. We got into a mini-argument today where I told him not to go if he doesn't want to! He said, "I just don't want to spend $6 for a hot dog!" So I told him to bring a sandwich. He's now planning on doing that. So my question is...can you bring sandwiches into the park? I know snacks are okay, but I'm not sure about anything else.

I have a feeling he's going to ruin my vacation. The last time we went together, he kept complaining about how much everything costs. Sorry for the little vent.

I never tried to bring in a sandwich but I would think that after carrying around a sandwich for 3 or 4 hours in Florida heat gets kind of gross. I wouldn't carry a sandwich although you can.

How many sandwiches are you planning to take? Let's all explore this subject.

Well, a sandwich is nothing.

When I went last August, I saw a family with a plethera of things

1) a 9 x 13 corning ware dish full of African stew
2) two small corning ware dished with lids (soups/sides)
3) 3 different ladles
4) silver ware/plates

They were set up at a bench near the Magic Carpets.

So I would think that a sandwich is fine!

We were giggling because I bring stuff in, but I leave my corning ware at home!

some people bring small coolers or little small lunch bags that stay cool and rent a locker to put them in. There are all those lockers at the front of the parks. I have seen many families do this.

You could always tell dad that for 3 bucks he can get a big ole turkey leg ;o)

Have a great trip,
Tina

Let your parents drive if they want. They can pick you up when you fly in. Just have them drive a day before you.:D

Just my dad wants to drive. My mother wants to fly. I will not let him drive alone. He HATES driving (I guess he hates flying more though) and he has heart problems. I'd be worried sick.

LOL about the corningware!
