Can you bring a handheld steamer on the cruise?

I know irons are prohibited, but can you bring a handheld steamer?

I did in January 2011. We did the Panama Canal cruise - it was 15 days. I just packed it with my checked bag. However, we were on the same deck as the laundry & it was just as easy to use the iron/ironing board in there. Also, because of the length of the cruise I did laundry once.

Hello! I know we cruised together before. Greetings. I wanted to recommend their ironing services. I give them everything as soon as we get our room and it is ready in atleast 2 days. The prices are much better the the cleaners too.

Thanks everyone! We definitely take advantage of the onboard laundry - as the PP said, it is very reasonable (better than at home!) and they do a great job. We do have a nice handheld steamer though that DH uses for his work clothes just when he needs to knock out a couple wrinkles between trips to the cleaners, so we thought we might bring it for a quick touch up for anything that gets crumpled in our bag. Great to know we can take it!
