Of course I can bowl, just read my tag! :teeth: Bowling and softball have always been my two sports. I'm usually 170's or 180's average, depending on what lanes I'm bowling at. I bowled for my high school team, but now that I'm out of high school, I don't have a league and only bowl once in awhile. :( My sister is now on the team and is the best bowler in her league! She ended with a 175 average and made All County, All League, All North Jersey and a few others.

::yes::

Spent the last 6-7 years in 10 pin bowling leagues. Now, that i'm married and had to move to a new state after the winter bowling leagues started i'm taking a bit of a break. But yeah, i can bowl.

I onced bowled 11 straight gutter balls. DS loves it! He
bowls around 100 without rails. My high score is 89-lol!
I hate it!

I dont bowl too much because of all the surgery I had. I gave my ball to ds 14. My oldest ds 16 is a certified bowling coach. Everyone compliments me how nice, great and patient he is. He also has to do the kids birthday partys. He got so many gifts from parents/kids for christmas. The other ds 14 and 12 just competed in their first tournament, the pepsi youth one. DS 14 was bowler of the month the other month. Their team is in last place but that was because a player dropped out and messed up their scoring. Last year they won alot of trophies. THey are taking the summer off this time.

I like bowling but I stink. Unless it is bumper bowling!!!

Love to bowl! I used to bowl ten pin, had about a 160 average. Now where I live the closest lanes are about 30 mins so I switched this year to candlepin. I average about 83.
Probably just as well I don't bowl 10 pin anymore since I have a very bad back. I can't even imagine throwing my 14 pounder anymore! LOL

I used to bowl in a company league in the 1980's. I was even league secretary for a couple of years. I wrote all sorts of computer programs to help me keep track of the scores. In case anyone here is ever asked to be secretary of their bowling league, my advice is to RUN AWAY as fast as possible.

This thread made me realize that my bowling days may be over due to my ankle injury. Not a great loss I guess. I haven't bowled in years.

I wasn't that good anyway.

I bowl on a retired Naval Officers and Wives legue that my grandmother bowled on (I'm not retired, a naval officer or a wife, but they needed some young blood! :) )

I love it and it is my one day a week to go out and have fun and not worry about my son. Although being just over six months pregnant and getting as a house it is becoming more and more difficult! The old people get upset if I jump up and down or get excited!! lol! But I have to admit in the last three months my average has improved 6 pins!!! So apparently this big belly sticking out in front of me is helping to keep me throwing straight!!

My last night is monday and our banquet is on Friday. I'm sad to see it end :(

The nice thing about the Navy Alley is that it is smoke free (little glass bubble rooms for the smokers!!)

Thanks for the link Roberta, I wasn't sure what Candlepin bowling was. :)

I enjoy 5 pin bowling, and used to bowl in a league, many years ago. I still have my cute bowling shoes!

We still go bowling with our friends from time to time. They serve beer at the bowling alley, and the number of gutter balls rises in proportion to the brews consumed. :p

It's fun!! :)

I can bowl, but I'm no expert. DH on the other hand used to play league.:D

I've bowled with some friends in a women's league for the past three years after not bowling for about 15 years! Managed to get my average up to nearly 140 last year but I sank back down to the mid 120s by the end of this past season.

We won't be back next year, various things keeping us from going back to that league, but I hope to join another league soon.

My son (14) also bowls, he's in a Junior league and he's been in a few tournaments. Our HS is starting a team next year, he plans to play on that, but I need to get him some coaching, he's pretty good but needs help with technique.

I took bowling in college 10 years ago. I haven't bowled since!

I started out with a 40 average, and won most improved by jacking that average up to a 90! Woo Hoo!

I met DH in a bowling alley, where we were both on the same league. Average back then was about 150 or so, with a high game of 243. But 19 yrs later, my knees are shot, and my back would talk to me for a week if I bowled now.

Its been several years since I bowled, and even though I was never very good at it, I used to love it. One of the last times I went was to "moonlight bowling" with 2 friends. They were each on a league. We were drinking beer that night and the more we had, the WORSE they bowled and the BETTER I bowled!

I like to bowl too, but I'm not good at it. It's fun anyway.

EH, I'm ok. As long as it's not that cosmic midnight rock and glow crap. I can't stand that. I guess I'm just too old.

I LOVE BOWLING! WE HAVE A CHURCH LEAGUE. MY AVERAGE IS 155, WITH A HIGH GAME OF 225, AND HIGH SERIES OF 505.:bounce:
