Can you book magical express then not use it? And multi rez #s for hoppers . . .

We are still debating using ME vs towncar. It's much quicker to use a driver and since he takes the luggage, very easy. Plus there's the 20 minute grocery stop. But on the ME bus, it will be less confining for the 5yr old and probably more fun.

If we decide last minute to not use it, is that ok? They're not doing headcount or anything, right? Or if we use it one the first leg but get a driver for the return, is that ok by them? Do I need to go to the trouble of cancelling?

Thanks. I did a search and read dozens of threads but didn't see this.

EDIT: Also, I'm hotel hopping so I have 3 reservation numbers. I input my first rez number into the ME request form. Do I need to do another request with my final rez number for the return since I'll be in a different hotel?

Oops - started my own post here in error, but I am also interested in the above question.

You will need to do 2 requests for DME. One with your first reservation, the second with the reservation number of your final stay at WDW.

I don't think they do a head count because you don't have to be at the ME counter within x-minutes of de-planing. However, you do need to decide prior to leaving your home airport. If you opt to use ME, put the yellow luggage tags on your bags before giving them to your airline. If you opt not to use ME, skip the tags.

Or you can use ME and not tag your bags. This would allow you to decide when you arrive at MCO. Although you'd need to know before that to arrange for the towncar service.

I don't think it's required, but it would be polite to notify ME you're not using them. Yes, you can use ME to return to the airport even if you don't use them on arrival (or vice versa).

I thought ME collected a paper 'ticket' when you boarded the bus. I assumed that was what they used to get reimbursed from Disney.

Yes, they collect the voucher tickets when you board the bus. When I answered I assumed the OP was going to make a decision before leaving their home. I'm not sure what would happen if you check-in at ME and then decide not to board the bus.
