Can you believe this??

That is just awful. How can they do this to our service people that protect them. They should be ashamed and need a good history lesson. How can they be protesting for piece, but yet doing something violent. It doesn't make any sense.

That is awful. What is so hard for them to understand that our military (in all branches) are just doing their job and that they don't have a choice. The politicians decide what they must do in their job and they do it.

Grrrr.... it makes me angry.

This is so sad and ignorant, it reminds me of the anti-abortionists who kill doctors because they're "pro-LIFE"...

I don't know how relevent this is, but when i read that statement i thought its happened here before on May 4th.

May we learn from history and the tragic events that happened at home durning the vietnam, and not let protests/protestors resort to violence.

We have a lot of NG people in our area. Ellington Field, which is a couple of miles from here, has part of an Apache Attack Helicopter Squadron and part of an Air National Guard F-16 Squadron and a Coast Guard Search and Rescue Helicopter group. I always see a lot of these service members eating lunch or shopping in the area. If I see any punks doing what these guys did, It's HAMMER TIME

As the wife of a National Guardsman (full time -- 20yrs plus), I can not tell you how much this angers me!

Putting the war aside. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TIME A NATIONAL GUARDSMAN GIVES TO HIS COUNTRY & STATE?

Every hurricane ....large snowstorm.... things like Y2K..... computer viruses that affected states computer (on SuperBowl Sunday).....I could go on.

The state has him more than I do. :( And ALOT of that time is NOT PAID....or at least not compensated at a decent rate. Sometimes....all for just $50 A DAY!!! Not too mention travel expenses (my DH travels alot for work).

ALL FOR THE LOVE OF HIS COUNTRY! I'ld sure like to teach those stupid teenagers a thing about VOLUNTEERING!

(And on a sad note: There has been times in the past years when DH has not wanted to wear his uniform home because of people like that. He changes at work before coming home.)

And it makes my blood boil. Anything more won't make it past the language sensors either! #$%(%(*$#^@

I can't say what I'd like to say. But I think those teenagers deserve to serve the national guard for a while. Maybe teach them a few lessons. Or heaven forbid actually do something constructive like volunteering.

This just totally frosts my cookies. When my DD is home she drills in VT with her unit all the time. I hope it's just an isolated incident and not indicative of what she can expect when she gets home.
