As many have posted, we've been to Disney but not Universal. I was as a kid and I don't believe there were two parks at that time.
We are booked on Disney cruise for March 9th/2012 and hoping to fly into Orlando on March 2nd/2012 stay somewhere close to Universal for 2-3 nts. We would go to Universal either the Saturday or Sunday(probably the worst I know!)and Orlando Zoo on the other. We also plan on staying at POP and do our fav. Disney parks before leaving for the cruise. Soooo....

We haven't read Harry Potter or seen the movies, is it worth all the waiting if you don't know the story?:rolleyes1

My husband and I aren't into roller coasters or fast rides, my 17 yr. old isn't much more adventurous...my 7 yr old would be but she'd have to go alone, so we are mostly wanting family-style rides.:dance3:

So only allowing for one day at Universal, should I buy both park access? What rides would be where we are headed to?

I'm guessing it's going to be insanely busy, so any tips for getting thru the day would be helpful!!

thank you everyone!

You said that you haven't seen the movies or read the books but do you like the whole world of castles and mythical beasts? I've always loved castles in particular and also the world of fantasy so I know that I would like the WWoHP even without knowing any of the story.

As for the other rides, which rides do you like in WDW? That would help determine which Universal attractions might be best for you.
