Can you ask for a specific view at Disney Rest.

We will be eating at O'hana for breakfast. There will be 9 of us. I wanted to request a view of Disney but the cm on the phone said I had to do that at the podium? Did i just get a cm that didn't know? Can that be correct? How can I get a certain request the minute I walk into the restaurant? Any info will help. Thanks,

The CM was correct. It is a request not a guarantee. When you check in see how long it would be for a MK view. They might be able to take care of that immediately otherwise you might have to wait awhile.

Doesnt hurt to ask..at Chefs de France we asked for a window table and we got it but we were just a table of 2 and that might be easier to accommodate

Yes, they will not take requests over the phone. We never hesitate to ask for a specific view when we check in at the podium. We have been lucky many times, however we have also have been unlucky as well. But, it does not hurt to ask.

I've asked at California Grill and they've always said that the wait will be longer, but we've always gotten a window table by the windows as requested. And the wait has never been more than 20-30 minutes.

A request is simply that...a request. Sometimes they can accomodate you, others they can't.I have been accomodated a few times, but also refused more times.The only thing you can do is ask, and not get too upset if it can't happen.
