Can you apply a pin to part of your reservation?

We are booked May 26-30th and just got a pin for 40%, but it would only be good for the 26/27th. Can I apply the pin to the first two nights?

I just tried to do this today with my 40% off pin. I was told I had to make 2 reservations. You cannot add black out days to the same reservation as the pin.

Well that's good to know, that's why it wasn't working for me.
