I think the answer is no, but I just want conformation.

If I purchase an eight day ticket from AAA and we do not use it all, Can I purchase the no expiration before leaving WDW, but after the ticket has been used? :sunny:

Also, I thought AAA offered discount tickets, but the AAA link just quoted me the same exact same price as Disney.com for my eight day hopper.

What's up with that? :confused3

I THINK that you can add the non expire option after your ticket is used BUT it will cost you the amount that would normally be charged for the nimber of days that was originally on the ticket. So, in your case, you would pay the amount it costs to make an 8 day ticket to not expire even if there was only one day left on the ticket. Let's wait for another response to confirm this though.

I think you can add the no-expire feature, but the charge will be for the entire ticket, not just the days left, I believe. I don't know the amount, but you will be charged as if the ticket had not been used, at least that's how I understand it.

Try the search feature here to get other ideas for discount ticket brokers. I subscribed to Mousesavers.com and used the link in the e-newsletter to get a great discount from Ticketmania. Others recommend Undercovertourist.com.

But can you add the no exp for like 4 days of a 10 day ticket package? Also, can you do this at the Disney stores?

Mr. Mike

Non-expiration can be added provided that the ticket has not expired first. You pay based on the original number of days plus any days added later, not on the number of days remaining.

If the Disney Store (or other outlet) did not sell you the ticket with non-expiration already on it, you need to wait until you get to Disney to add non-expiration or other features.

Yes, you can add the non-expiring option as long as you are still within the 14 day window of activating the ticket. The price of the non-expiring will be based on the original number of days on the ticket. We did this on our last trip at guest services at the park we were at. You may do this at guest services at the parks or downtown disney. I am not sure but I believe it can be done at your resort's guest services also.

Oh, I am soooooo an expert on this question. :teeth:

Yes, you can purchase the no-expiration option after you have bought a ticket. You could hypothetically also add park-hopper and water park options as well. HOWEVER, you MUST pay for the original amount of days purchased. So if you buy the 8 day ticket and you only have 2 days left, you are still going to pay for no-expiration on the 8 days. You'll have to get your calculator out to see if you think it is worth it. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for your helpful responses! :sunny:

It's good to know if DH gets called away on business that we have the option. :sunny:

Note that if you add non-expiration to an 8 day ticket, adding the ninth and tenth days at the same time costs about $30. ($15. per day)
