I'm going in December and booked 4 nights at AKL for $119. If I decide to stay 1 or 2 extra nights while I'm there, will I still receive the code rate or will it be at rack rate? Also, will I need to change rooms? Thanks!!

If they have availability they will let you add to your stay, and GENERALLY it will be at the same rate, but there is no guarantee of that. They usually do not make you switch rooms either. :)

I was able to add an extra night to our stay in July at the AKL. We also got our discounted rate. We had no problems and did not have to change rooms. I would think that it depends on how full the resort is. Good Luck, the AKL is wonderful!!!

Once during a Sept stay at WL, we got a message that the front desk was offering us an additional night or two at our current rate. We had flights the next day....we would have stayed if we had driven. -HM

Depends on availability...One May we decided to add one day on to our trip (after my DH had to fly home for 24 hours for an important business meeting -- it was his idea to add on a day - a peace offering I think...and I jumped at the chance...one extra day in WDW...alright by me anytime!!)

Anyhow we were staying at the All Star Music at the time - and there was not a room to be had at AS Music, AS Movies or AS Sports...then I started with the moderates, nothing at Coronado Springs, POR, POFQ...finally I got a room at the CBR, at rack rates, whatever that was at the time.

I think, if you think you are going to want to stay and have the time and $$, just book it. It will save you some aggravation. I was all excited when we decided to add a day, but it was pretty stressful to have to make all those calls - 7 different hotels, just to get one room for one night! And I don't know if my DH's offer would have still stood if we had to go with a deluxe room!!

Anyhow, good luck...hope you get to enjoy a nice LONG vacation!!

During our August trip to WL, the front desk left a message that we could book extra days at the special "Stampede" rate.

I didn't even ask what it was, as we had to sail from Port Canaveral on checkout day.

And if I didn't have so much $ wrapped up in the cruise, I might've taken it, we loved WL so much!

But, as has been suggested, you really probably ought to just go ahead and book it ahead. The anxiety of changes is a tad too much for me sometimes!

Good luck!
