Can y'all stand another borrowing question?

Dh and I want to take our kids to Hawaii (thank you dvc). We have enough points for a week long stay in a studio any view but we want to extend our stay and I'm not sure we can borrow or not. Maybe you all can help me.

First our UY is Dec.

Dec 2013 we borrow 19 points from Dec 2014
Dec 2014 we have 83 pts available
Dec 2015 points 100 pts
Dec 2016 points 100pts.

So if our trip is June 2015 then we can only use Dec 2014 points and borrow from Dec 2015 or can we also borrow from Dec 2016 points to give us 283 pts total. I'm so confuse about where I can borrow from.

You can borrow bank from 2014 into 2015 and borrow from 2016 and have those points deposited into the 2015 use year. You would end up with a total of 283 points. You can use a max of 3 years points at once this way.

June 2015 is in your 2014 UY so you could use banked 2013 points, current 2014 points and borrow 2015 points. You can only borrow from one UY ahead so no, your 2016 points cannot be borrowed for that reservation. A couple other options would be to extend with a member cash stay or else buy up to 24 one time use points from DVC. A couple others would be to get a transfer from another member or rent from another member and link the reservations together.

No, you cannot borrow for a 2016 trip because of your use year. You can bank 2013 points so you'll have 183 points to use.

Thanks everyone! I just confirm this with member services. I guess I get to purchase one time use points that will at least give me 207 points to work with.

Is there anyway for you to pay cash for a few nights then have your dvc reservation kick in? We are paying for 3 and then our ressie kicks in for 7 more when we head to Aulani at Christmas. Just a thought.
