Does anyone know if WW can be used to maintain weight? I'm still trying to figure out how to want to maintain and not be scared of gaining it all back... Could I use WW in reverse? You know, HAVE to eat so many points knowing I won't gain? Is that possible?

I have crashed since Sunday night, only having a plain boca burger on Wednesday morning. Lost 5 pounds, but now I am just sick. :( And what is worse, is that know I am thinking... so close to 110. Which I shouldn't be... So... can anyone answer my question?

BTW, I just had a plain bowl of oatmeal with blueberries, cinnamon and pure maple syrup (and am fighting the urge to figure out the calories)...

Thanks in advance,

me

WW does have a maintenance plan that can be used to help people not gain back the weight that they have lost. You stay in a point range for the day but you get more points than you would if you were trying to lose.

I am concerned that when you say "crashed since Sunday night" and that you only had a boca burger yesterday does that mean that the only thing you have eaten since Sunday is that boca burger? If that is really the case and you find that you are becoming really overly concerned about eating at all then I think you should find a nutritionist and/or your doctor to talk to. It is not healthy to be overweight but it is also not healthy to be starving yourself. If I misunderstood your post then I am sorry but if I am right then you really do need to get some help.

Becka,

You understood it correctly. The thing is, it didn't really take any effort. I just can't stand even looking at food anymore... too many months of "how much is that, is that good, how many carbs, etc..."... Plus, nobody is home this week to notice.

I don't have a doctor right now (between insurances)...

Thanks for your answer about WW...

Hey, Karen!

I usually have a half cup of cooked oatmeal with a half a banana mashed up in it for breakfast (w/ decaf coffee or tea). Are you doing dairy? (I forgot!) For lunch I enjoy raw baby carrots, a medium pear, sliced, and 6 crackers with 2 oz of brie cheese. A yummy dinner is grilled yellow squash & zucchini w/ marinara sauce and some veggie italian sausages (and a small salad).

I am on WW now and plan to use WW to maintain. It is what WW is all about! :) I'm not on the point system, but I think once you reach your goal w/ WW, you just up the points a little until you find your maintenance balance.

Good luck! I read your journal and see that you are doing dips to work your triceps. WOW! I can't do those (just use weights and that's enough of a challenge for me!)

Any way you can convince yourself to only weigh in once a week? :) I am down to twice a week and that helps me stay focused on my plan enough to keep me motivated. :)

A friend of mine who reached goal on WW was told to add back 4 pts. per day to her range to maintain. I don't know if that's standard for everybody or if it depends on your weight. Good luck zakatak.

Are you using a specific plans now?? I couldn't remember if you were Atkins or not.

Okay not to sound like an alarmist - but its thurday and you are saying you have only had a boca burger and bowl of oatmeal with fruit and syrup since sunday - this is dangerous and when you say fighting the urge to figure out the calories - I am truly concerned!
We all want to lose Weight but your post truly worries me - I am very concerned - please do not starve yourself - you will lose muscle mass this way NOT FAT! Your body needs fuel each and everyday to maintain health - not eating is not the answer - Whatever plan you were using to lose weight must have a mantainance plan too please use it or go to a WW meeting and tell them you want to maintain.

Sorry if I preached but as stated before your post concerned me - If I over reacted or offended you(since I am pretty new to this board )I apologize.

PLEASE BE HEALTHY! AND EAT HEALTHY
SUE
