Can we visit AKL??

Hi!

We have a free day (no park tix on purpose) from when we leave VB to the next morning when we fly out. We have a cash ressie for our last night at Port Orleans so we will be onsite. We plan on minigolf and explong the Boardwalk the last day, after driving back from VB.

I was wondering of we can stop and visit AKL without dinner ressies? I know at first this was not allowed, but was not sure if the policy has been changed.

In January, my DSs and I just visited the AKL. We explained that we just wanted to see it, and we had no problem. In fact, I asked at the front desk if we could pssibly see a room. The CM I asked said no, but the lady next to her overheard and offered to show us a room noting that they weren't busy at all. She was so gracious, I wish I could remember her name...Mary or Anne????

I have visited AKL on my last 3 trips. It is by far one of the best 'free' things to do in my mind. Just tell the gaurd you want to look around, or if you are worried about it, tell him you want to check out the restaurants. You will have no problems.

The savanah is VERY cool. Go in the early morning or evening to have the best experiences with animal sightings, but even if you go in the afternoon it's still cool. Also Boma is fantastic!

We are heading down for a 1 night stay in June at the AKL on the $139 rate on our way to VB for the week. GREATLY looking forward to it.

Just had to give my two cents here! AKL is great, and definitely worth visiting. And don't forget your camera. We don't do a lot of WDW dining on our trips to the World, but last time we had dinner at Boma. It's one of the less expensive buffet meals, and it was really fun. DH and I had four teens, two boys and two girls, with us, and everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously...
