Can we use the GCH entry to DCA for early entry?

You can use the GCH gate, but be advised they only have two turnstiles, so you enter much more slowly. Also, you will be behind the group that starts at the main gate.

Of course, things may be a lot slower in September than they are right now. I would plan on using the main gate, but keep an eye here on the boards for information regarding how busy things are.

Cars Land is further away from the GCH entrance than it is the main gate.

Exactly. Sorry, I should have clarified this in my earlier statement. The main gate is closer to Carsland than the GCH gate.

So do they make you go around Grizzly past Soarin' to reach CL, or is it still a longer walk going the other way than it is from the main gate?

The GCH gate also takes much longer because there are only 2 turnstiles and two people doing the bag security check. Therefore there's a bottleneck of guests trying to get in for MM, where as they open many more turnstiles at the main gate, and the crowd is more spread out. In addition, the walk is shorter from the main gate.

I'm pretty sure you can go either way, but the way around Grizzly Peak the other way (passing Ariel's) I think is still longer than from the main entrance.
