Can we use magical express for luggage only?

We plan to rent a car for our October trip because we are going to universal for a few days. It looks like it will be cheaper to rent a car from MCO. Can we still have our luggage delivered to and from the airport if we won't be riding the express? I really liked the convenience of not having to deal with luggage in the airport and be able to get boarding passes at the resort.

Luggage delivery is supposed to be a perk you get when you rude the DME bus from MCO to your resort.
Disney tells you that you can not book luggage transfer service.

Having said this....there is an entire stickied thread regarding DME and luggage transfer.
In short...can you do it? Most likely. Will there be any issues! 'Probably not'.

As far as when you leave your resort.....RAC and DME are not the same thing. You can use RAC no matter how you return to MCO.

My question is...why not stay up at Uni for the time you're visiting Universal? The onsite resorts are so awesome, and the deluxes have amazing perks! (Cabana Bay and the future Sapphire Falls have good perks too and are/will be very nice)

Excellent idea...I would book a US/IoA hotel...RPR is the lowest priced one that will get you front of the line. I try to spend one night there, then hit both parks without rushing.
You could add the US/IoA time to the beginning of your stay...then just drive over to WDW. Use RAC for your return to MCO.
