Can we use HHI pool without staying there?

We'll be traveling to HHI next week and staying at a VRBO condo (no DVC availability at 7 month mark). Can we go to the DVC resort and play at the pool for a day? We will bring our DVC membership card. We have done this before at Vero Beach. We were at WDW and wanted a "beach" day. They happily welcomed us.

you can hop to VB from wdw but not HHI. there is no "day use" for HHI, you have to be staying there.

Pool Hopping Information

When staying on your Membership at any Disney Vacation Club Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort, or Disney's Vero Beach Resort,you and any Guests staying with you are permitted to use most of the other Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the resort hotel at which you are staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you are visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that resort hotel. Please check with a host or hostess at the front desk of the resort you wish to visit before you go to find out about pool-access availability. You must present your current Key to the World card with your "DVC Member" designation on it to use the other resort hotel pools. Pool hopping is not available at Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas, and the pools at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. There are no exceptions to this policy.

You can visit the resort, you just can use the resort guests only amenities (like the pool and beach).

the resort is gated but i suspect the guard will be ok with you walking around.

There is no guard at the gate. Just pull up and push the button to speak with the Front Desk. They will raise the gate for you and you may walk around the resort. You can also park in the public parking areas nearby and walk onto the resort grounds without going thru the gate.

If there are any cleaned/unoccupied villas, they may be able to offer you a tour of the accommodations.

The beach is gated and you would need a resort parking pass to gain access to a public beach area. Access to the Disney Beach House is for resort guests only via room key so that would not be available.

We have actually stayed there before. Just thought it would be
something to do to kill a few hours!
