Hello,
We only have 100 points left this year but a family member just joined and has alot of points. They can now set up a reservation for BLT using their points. My question is, can we just transfer or give our points to them somehow?

You can transfer points to your family member, assuming that neither of you has already done a transfer in this UY. However, your points retain the same UY and home resort as they had when in your account. So they can be used to book at BLT, but only when the 7 month window opens.

The only thing that may change is the banking deadline. It has been reported that MS may allow late banking for transferred points, but this is not a written perk. If this matters, be sure to check with the CM before you transfer and then transfer and bank on that phone call. Best of luck -- Suzanne

An owner is allowed to do one transfer per use year, either in or out but not both. You could transfer to them and that would count as your one transfer and their one transfer for the use year. Points retain their actual use year and home resort identificationwhen transfered. Thus, if the transfer is to make a BLT reservation during the 11 month window, you would need to transfer BLT points.

The only issue I am not sure of is exactly when they can accept a transfer as new members. If they have just now signed and returned the contracts, there may be a waiting period, possibly until closing before they can engage in any transfer activity but that is something they should check with their sales rep or MS.
