Can we transfer dining ressies?

We currently have a trip booked and all of our dining ressies made. But, we are looking into renting DVC points, to upgrade to a different resort. Does anyone know how we would transfer our dining ressies, since we would have to cancel our existing trip booking, if we end up renting points? We don't want to lose our dining.

Please let me know if you know how this works.

Dining and resort reservations are not connected like that. You don't have to do anything with your dining reservations if you change your resort reservation, or cancel it.
