Can we tent camp on a preferred?

Thanks to the Dis campers I found out if I play w/ the dates I can get what we'd like, however I can still only get a preferred & we will have 2 tents. Is there any way this could work?

We did in 2004. It shouldn't be a problem.

Just make sure you tell them you have two tents and mention you need a large sand area. Some of the sand areas on some of the preferred sites are kind of small

There was a family tent camping just a few sites down from us in the 300 loop. Go for it!

Not a problem. Last November when we stayed on 300 there were more than a few tents. We even saw one setup all the way into the grass on the dog walk - technically outside of the actual "site" but it was there for at least a few days and no one said anything.

Although if it were me, I'd have worried about it getting peed on.

including camp fires......

I have been there a couple of time with my friends and we had great fun there camping. I think that would not be a problem at all, just find the right place that would best fit in with your requirements. Have fun!!!
