Can we talk about cast members for a moment?

I love the CMs almost as much as I love Mickey.

For anyone that has watched the new planning DVD, do you remember the CM Steve from the Animal Kingdom? He told the sweetest freaking story that brought tears to my eyes. I swear, if I see Steve, I'm running up and giving him a big hug because he is the BEST!

Just as a reminder:
If you encounter a CM going above and beyond, please ask for a manager or, even better, take 5 minutes to go to Guest Relations and fill out an "Applause O'Gram." These fantastic certificates go to both the manager of the CM and to the CM themselves and get put on their record card which, in turn, helps them out personally.
Trust me - being recognized for the magic only helps create it even more! So many people "expect" above-and-beyond behavior, which is fine of course, but it means so much to have someone say something about you personally.

I did not know this..... how do I send something from home????

Subscribing to this thread so I can find out how to commend a CM too!

Last time I stopped in guest relations at Epcot to recognize a cast member (middle of November) I was told that I could also send an email to Guest Communications. I was right there, so I filled out the form, but will email about all the stand out CMs I come in contact with in the future. So, you can still send the information even after you've gotten home.

And they will definitely respond to you. I'm always sending compliment letters. I sent one for Carlos @ Pop and Nancy @ Liberty Square last month and was assured that letters of praise are sent to their managers and also put in their file, so you never know: you might help them get a raise, promotion and I've heard about contests as well.

And there have been some days at WDW where cast members have absolutely made my day. Around here, I have to *work* to find someone nice. At WDW, I have to work to find someone who *isn't* nice. It's so refreshing and part of what makes WDW so great.
