Can we split checks?

We are going on the free dining plan with three families. When we made the reservations for dinner we included all the families together. Since some families are larger and have differnet ages, can we ask for a seperate check for each family? I know the dining is free but since we will get the check with the tip on it, this would make it so much easier for everyone to just pay their own tips. Do the resturants frown on this since the reservations are made as a group booking? thanks for any ifo!

They gave us 2 checks almost every time we dined last year with no problem.

I would think multiple checks are fine; however, if your total party consists of 6 or more, they will automatically add 18% gratuity to your bill even though you might be paying for less people than that.

This past December I went to Liberty Tree Tavern and 50's Prime Time Cafe with some friends of mine from Orlando and we had no problem getting seperate checks for our meals.

We got seperate cks all the time cause I have a family of 7 and my parents r 2 and my bro is 5 . They did it for us with no problem.
