Can we retrun the car rental at WDW-then take ME to MCO?

Friends of mine (2 adults) are arriving MCO about noon 2-20, then renting a car and driving to F Meyers for 4 or 5 days, then driving to Carribean beach 2-25 for 3 nights.

Was wondering if there is a way to return the car at WDW-then ME express back to MCO for a noon flight.

I doubt it would save much money, but they kind of want to experience ME for future trips. Also thought about returning the car to MCO-then ME to WDW-but they want to get to a park asap that day, so I think that would eat up too much time.

This is pretty much the first trip to WDW.

Any recommendations on this and/or which car rentals are best/inexpensive? TIA.

Yes you can.

Be sure to make your reservation for Magical Express no later than morning before the day you will need it, namely morning before chekc out day.

Suggest doing it still earlier because mornings tend to be hectic and you can miss rope drop while at the front desk making your DME reservation.

Yes, you can do that. Best way to do it is look for codes (mousesavers has a lot of them) and plug in the dates and codes and see what works best. Many of the rental agencies have drop off locations in the World and will then shuttle you to your resort. Then you can make your ME reservation for your departure date and time and be all set. Good luck.

There is a good Avis code on this board right now, but not sure if it will apply to different drop-off location or not.

OK thanks, that's encouraging-they set up ME already for the return in anticipation. Sounds like just get codes and see which ones will take a car back at WDW-will check it out.
