Well.......after nine trips to Disney, I have decided to try to write a trip report!! I guess because it was a lot of firsts for us......celebrating our 20th anniversary, first trip w/o our children, first time using Magical Express, first trip at Christmas time, first F&W Festival, and first time going for less than a week.

Our trip was from 11/11-11/15. We stayed at POR and visited MK and Epcot

We left our children (16, 13, and 11) at home with grandma!!

I am uploading all of our pictures and they will be added shortly!

Alarm was set for 2:45 am, as we wanted to leave around 3:30 for our early morning flight. After kisses for the kids, we were headed to the airport. I think my tears stopped after about 15 minutes :). Looking back, I wish I would have been more excited, but I was feeling guilty about leaving the kids. Plus, I really don't mind to fly but I worry about the silliest things (not the plane crashing or anything like that) more like will my ears hurt, will there be enough oxygen on the plane :(( not sure why??

Park n Fly was prompt and security wasnt too long, we arrived at our gate in plenty of time!! We had A 34 and A35, so no problems there. After a brief de-icing we were off!!

Southwest doesn't fly direct from Cle anymore, so we had a short stop in Nashville. We arrived right on time and proceeded to baggage claim (decided at the last minute to get our bags ourselves). After finding ME, a bus pulled up within about 2 minutes!! We sat back and enjoyed the ride to POR (the first stop).

I know there are alot of questions on these boards about going without your kids and going for a short trip, and I had concerns about both of these too..... Normally, we stay 10 days with our children. But, after coming back, I will tell you that even a shorter trip is worth it and I would not hesitate to take a couples only trip again!!

We arrived at POR w/i 30 minutes. We had not chosen to do online check in as I had made room requests and wanted to make changes if necessary. The line was non-existent for both online and check in. What a nice surprise when the CM immediately said Happy Anniversary and not only met our requests (bldg 14,17, or 27 and 2nd floor) but upgraded us to a water view corner room!!!!! We were in bldg 17, second floor corner.

The grounds were beautiful and we quickly did a bed bug check (all clear)!! We have had problems in the past with the rooms at POR not being the cleanest, but this time everything was very clean!!

I am a huge fan of adult only trips to Disney. I took my first without my son last July. It was totally unlike any other trip I have ever taken. We had a great time!
