We had something similar last week with Fast Passes to BOG for lunch.
We had 2 hours from airport to reservations. Took us 3 hours to get from
the airport to CR. WL was the drop off just before CR. So we missed it by
over an hour. Not even close. No big deal as it was just a FP.

My experience with Magic Express was less than stellar.

Here's what I would do if I were in your shoes. For $127 ROUND TRIP you can
have a towncar waiting on you to pick you up instantanlty at the curb.
Take your bags direct to bell services and hit your reservation. Should take
most of the "guess" work out of it.

I'll never do Magic Express again. It's worth $64 each way to travel in style.
I spend enough time at the parks in line.

BTW....the drop off when we were on last week was Polynesian, then GF, then WL and FINALLY CR.

To the OP, don't forget to budget in time to pick your luggage from the baggage carousels if you go this route.

While this will take out some of the "guess work" in terms of how long it'll take to get from MCO to WL, you still have to hope that the plane arrives on time and there are no other delays.

I still would risk having a CRT reservation that close to your arrival time. The cost of CRT along for two adults and two kids is nearly $230. That's a pretty big chunk of money to risk losing out on if there are any travel day issues. Add the cost of the towncar and possibly a taxi from WL to CR, you'l be looking at nearly $400 in total for this one dinner. That's a lot of money.

No, I would not do it with CRT. Too expensive if you miss it. And you only have 2.5 hours to get there if it goes perfectly (flight on time, front of the plane, catching the boat, no wait at bag check, etc).

You do realize that CRT isn't like other restaurants. If you're running late and they can't seat you, they keep your prepayment for the missed meal, it isn't the $10 per person you get charged for other TS restaurants, you forfeit the full cost of the meal.

OP, I would estimate that you have about a 50% chance to make your reservation. It is up to you whether that risk is worth it.

Thanks for all the feedback, seems around equal. Half of you think I am smoking crack and have do not.

I think the only concern is the flight. But I should be able to know 24 hour ahead of time if weather could be an issue. I am thinking that only if there are travel concerns would I cancel. I do not think ME is much of a worry as my experience is always being at WL about an hour after touchdown. If that holds true and the plane is on time I think we are good. IF more of you said I was smoking crack I might have to change things around. We are actually looking for a breakfast ADR instead and keep checking the cancellation thread.

I might have to post once we pull it off and breakdown how it all happened. For me there is nothing to stress about. If things look tight, I will check in while wife, daughter, and niece head to the bus (never boat, we always wait too long for boats) and onto CRT. Granted they cannot be seated without me, but they can just tell them the ADR was for 3 as one could not make it and then we can afford to eat the cost of one meal and I can grab a pork shank or something. Or can we just drop bags at bell services after getting off ME and check in later that night? I know WL usually has someone waiting for us when we get of the bus.

One more suggetion would be to book towncar one way when you get there.

Again taking the guess work out of ME. I was seriously took us almost 3 hrs
to get to the Contemporary on the same bus you will be riding.
You can then take ME back to the airport at the end of your stay if you like it.

Are you booked under a package w/ tickets? if so, then I believe your tickets won't be active until you check in to WL, even if they are linked in to your My Disney Experience acct/magic band. That means no one can get into MK until you check in.

No package. Annual Passes for three, and just tickets for the niece.

Will do. We arrive 5/22 and leave 5/26, just a quick trip. We were amazed we even got a CRT ADR as this was a last minute trip by our normal planning schedules.

Hopefully this will be an entertaining experience for everyone. lol

I think the towncar is a good idea for this, to lessen your risk. If this is a one time, may never get a ressie for CRT again, then I would spend the extra money to make sure you'll be able to do it, and not rely on Disney's transport. Then if your flight is on time, chances are you'll make it.

Flights can be delayed for reasons other than weather. In Dec, DM and I went to BC 4 days ahead of DH, DS, and DD for a work conference. On their arrival day, we made an O'hana ressie for 5:40 PM thinking that was plenty of time because their plane was due to arrive at 12:50. Well, the flight was delayed over an hour due to mechanical issues and then they had to wait on an ME bus for another 45 minutes to an hour for it to fill up. They arrived at BC with just enough time to hop in a cab and run into the Poly. We made it, but just barely. No way I would chance it with such a large amount of money on the line.

I may be mistaken here but I don't think ME will take your luggage if you are not on the bus. Right or wrong? Security issues I would imagine.
