Hubby and i are going on our Anniversary trip May 13-17..
But our first day there might be alittle overwhelming for me..I'll let you decide:

7:20AM arrive at Discovery Cove: We're aiming for a 9:00am or 10:30am dolphin swim (staying in DC from 7:20am-12:30pm)

**12:40pm get to Seaworld:

* 2:00pm Beluga Interaction Program

* 4:30pm- Dine with shamu..

Last "Shamu" show of the night

Thats my first day-

Im a SW vet (been going for more than 24 years...lol)I know lots of shortcuts and stuff around the park..

But what do you think?

Oh BTW: I just got a new Canon powershot A590 and I want to get an underwater housing for it for DC ..lol Any ideas?

As costly as DC is, why only enjoy a few hours there??? guess I am confused???

I'd spend the biggest chunk of the day at DC and then late afternoon (3-4) head over to Seaworld for evening activities and do the Beluga interaction another day.

Why spend so little time at DC and so much time at SW when you say you've been so many times? DC is spectacular and so relaxing - why ruin it rushing? Not to mention how expensive it is for so little time! :confused:

Personally I would spend every last minute at DC, but if you must do both then spend the day at DC, go to SW for dine with Shamu in the evening, and do the Beluga interaction another day IMHO.

well we're the type of couple who tend to get bored kinda quick (for godsakes..lol we went to aquatica at 10 and stood till 1pm. because thats all we could take..lol. Plus he LOVES feeding the dolphins at SW and spending as much time with the orcas..

(PS: Hubby doesnt like to swim MUCH hence why Im doing the Dolphin swim..lol he needs a noodle, a vest, and probaby a dolphin to hold him up.. he literally sinks like a rock.. and believe me.. its somewhat amusing to watch - he almost drowned in Aquatica's lazy river cause the innertubes wouldnt keep him afloat i dunno why?)

Lets see what time does for me..lol I think we're still gonna do DWS at like 4:30 and do the BIP another day.. if we can anyway..lol

FYI (if you didn't already know!) you don't need to go out of your depth on the dolphin swim. I'm not a strong swimmer and wanted my feet firmly on the floor at all times!

Ask for a shallow water interaction and you get exactly the same experience apart from when you do the dolphin tow - then you begin in shallow water rather than swimming into the deep area.

So your DH really will have a dolphin to hold him up! :thumbsup2

lol Im an experienced swimmer (swim team..lol)

hubby doesnt want to do the swim- i know about the shallow interaction, but he's stubborn..lolz im mean reallly stubborn..lol go figure he rather play with the dolphin out of the water than in..hahahahaha thanks..

jmo- I would spend all day at Discovery Cove and do SW after DC closes or the next day.
I hope you have a great time what ever you choose to do :thumbsup2
We are going to DC on April 22, 2009 and I don't wants to miss anything.Don't get me wrong I love SW and we are going there on this trip but I wouldn't cut short my day at DC for SW

I agree 100%. That's what we did - we stayed right until closing time at DC and then headed over to SW for a few hours afterwards.
My DH gets bored really easily too but between the snorkeling, the birds, and the food and drinks, he said he could have stayed there forever! I have to admit myself, it was hard to have to leave.

lol thanks for the tips you guys.. Im going to make sure i get TONS of pictures with my new camera.. that hubby gave me..lol

Im just alittle nervous about the underwater housing, well considering how much i spent for the camera- Canon Powershot A590..($130) and the housing ($29.99) ..lol.. you can see my fears..even though I gave it a Sink run (sink full of water and submerged.. without camera inside of course..lol) it survived..

Yeah we're going to stick to our (modified plan) Plan, hit DC Till 3:30 and then Go have dinner with shamu..lol Its our Anniversary so he wants to make sure we have a special dinner for that day.. and Already made the reservations.. lol men..
