Can we leave our carry on baggage at concierge when we board until our room is ready?

We have always kept our carry on with us and lugged it around until our room was ready but we were hoping we could drop it off somewhere so we can go swimming without having to worry about keeping our eyes on our stuff.

Yes, although concierge rooms are often ready considerably earlier than the usual 1:30, so you may not even have to. On our cruise last month, we were among the first group of people on the ship. We went straight to the concierge lounge to go over our itinerary and, by the time we were done with that and had a snack and something to drink, our room was ready.

if you're staying concierge on dream or fantasy, yes, you can leave it with the concierge when they do your orientation. they label it and put it in a secure back room, and then will deliver it to your room when the room is ready. we've done it twice on dream and the luggage was already in the room by the time we got done with lunch.

we are not in a concierge room. We are in a regular room but I am asking if we can keep it at concierge, as in, at the front desk etc...

Sorry that is only available for concierge. Any other cabin you will need to carry with you until your cabin is ready.

You can also leave your carry on bags with the concierges if you are sailing concierge on the Wonder or Magic too.

They've just held our stuff behind the concierge host desk until our room was ready. We also had some medication that needed refrigeration and they stored that for us.

The front desk on the ship is Guest Services. The only "concierges" the ships have are for the booked level of service.

Guest Services will not hold luggage for passengers. Unless you are booked in a concierge stateroom, you really have no option but to keep your carry-on luggage with you.

well that's a bummer

Can you imagine the volume of carry on luggage Guest Services would be responsible for if they would hold it? It's just not feasible.

OP, were you ever on a cruise, with a different cruise line, that let passengers leave the carry on luggage with Concierge?
Would love to know. It sounds like a Great Perk?

That let NON-concierge cruisers leave luggage with concierge more specifically!

If it's that big of an issue, I'd plan to not board until 1:30 or later when the staterooms are ready.

We never are concierge and always have our carryons with us. Been on Disney 17 cruises and never worry about leaving luggage. Get a table by the pool, load up one chair with our stuff and enjoy the ship, I'm one of those glass half full people but leave iPads, wallets, etc and never had a bit of concern. Usually one or more of our group is coming or going at one time or another so it's not like we leave the stuff for hours at s time.

We liked getting on early and enjoying the pool, so we planned accordingly -- just one small carryon with us, and all the rest checked. And wore our suits under our clothes to board, of course.

well that's a bummer

Just imagine the amount of bags at Guest Service is they allowed it. Of course everybody would love a place to drop their bags and not have to watch them until their room is ready but it is not practical at all. Best option is to have a carryon with wheels. Makes it a ton easier.

I don't find it a bummer. You could always board a bit later so your room would be ready and you would not have to lug it around.

You leave your things unattended? That's taking a big risk. Just because it's Disney doesnt mean there are no bad people around. We learned that the hard way when we used to keep all of our purses and bags in our stroller when our son was young and park it in the stroller area when we went on rides at DL. Did it for years without a problem, until one day, it was all gone! We had a false sense of security because we were at Disney. Now we know better.
