Hi Girls,

can we have a family member sing during our ceremony? Does that count as outside entertainment lol? I was thinking about asking DF's sister to sing promise during our unity candle.

TIA

We are having someone sing at ours (without music) and my planner said she would add it to her notes, so I assume there is no problem with that.

My planner asked me if I wanted to have anyone in my family or a guest sing at the ceremony so it is okay. I unfortunately don't have anyone.

:goodvibes I keep threatening my daughter that I will sing at her wedding to save the expense of ceremony music!

To date, she has not taken me up on my kind offer. :lmao:

From what I was told, if they are a guest at your wedding they do not count as an outside vendor. If you are not paying them, you're fine. My officiant is singing for us, he is a guest at our VR and I will not be charged an outside vendor fee for him.

A question off of this... My mom has been playing piano since she was in 2nd grade, and one of my BMs has been playing flute with me since the 9th grade, and we did every solo and ensemble and everything together and were always 1st/2nd chairs. So, they were thinking about doing a little duet at some point during our ceremony. Would that be okay?

It sounds like it would be OK since they are guests at your wedding - you may just need to rent a piano, depending on the location....

Alright. How would I do that? Would Disney do it or would I have to find one somewhere?

I'm thinking SBP.

Oh my - well, for an outdoor location like SBP, I would say to bring an electric keyboard. I was thinking maybe you'd be in Living Seas Salon, which already has a piano.

Your WP may be able to help you with this... or this may be one of those things that they just aren't set up to do. Then again, this is Disney - anything's available for a price! :lmao:

Yeah, that's what I didn't think about till you mentioned it. I'll just tell my mom she'll have to play air piano!

Yeah, I figure, when we get our WP, I'll talk to her, and see what we can work out.
