Can we get dropped off at the Riviera for a counter service breakfast?

Will they let us in at the Riviera to eat breakfast at the counter service location if we are dropped off by Uber? Or will Disney not allow such?

I have never had an issue with getting dropped at a resort via Uber/Lyft,

I don’t believe they are limiting resort guests from visiting other places.

I wonder if we would have an issue with driving ourselves over to Kidani one morning for an early breakfast and to look at the animals afterwards?

Don't the guards at the resorts ask for a resort reservation or a restaurant reservation?

I can't see why not. The other option is to bus it. Are you staying on site? If so then take a bus to the nearest park to the resort and take a bus there. Sanaa is a great place for breakfast and only two minutes by bus from AK, it;s one of my favourite things to do. For Riviera DHS is probably the best park to go from and take the Skyliner or bus.

I was turned away trying to eat at Primo Piatto at Riviera so there is a good chance you will be turned away in your private car unless you have a dining reservation, hard to get those for counter service restaurants.

The guards just waved through the Uber drive though when we returned the next night in an Uber.

I guess you could always pull up and say Uber and get waved in.

I think it will depend on how busy.People have reported now issues at resorts when they are registered Disney guests.

I know day guests who are not staying on property are supposed to have a reservation. Again, what’s happening in practice doesn’t seem to match.

I am not going to worry with going to Riviera but I would like to go to Sanaa for breakfast and Geyser Point is an absolute must do. I will have to keep up with what others are saying over the next month.

So, I know to visit another resort on property, they say you have to have a dining reservation. My question is, can you just have a mobile order placed at a quick service restaurant at the resort you want to visit?

I'm staying at Pop Century next month with my wife and nephew, and I would like to show my nephew the Polynesian Resort. Would I be able to place a mobile order, at say, Captain Cook's and be allowed in the resort? We would probably take Disney transportation to the Polynesian. I'm not sure how strict cast members are asking if you are staying at said resort or have a dining reservation at said resort?

If you take Disney transportation you can go to any resorts. If you drive on your own, the guard will check to make sure you have a confirmed reservation (resort or dining).

Well I don't think Sanaa will be feasible at all. I would want to arrive at opening so we could eat and see the animals early in the morning and Disney transport isn't running that early back to the resort.

I think a lot of the animals are still in their pens early in the morning. Or have been moved to their pens early in the morning. If the Skyliner is running, you could park at DHS and take the Skyliner to RIV.

Ahhh, Riviera is not that big of a deal to me. Not sweating that one. What time are the animals generally out in the mornings?

IIRC, the Animals sleep on the savannas at AKL. They are cslled into the barn every morning, one savanna at a time. Somebody who has been there recently might have the schedule.

I will probably pass on this trip with Sanaa, but is the Mara open at Jambo? If not, where are these people eating at?

Noting is open at Jambo other than DVC rooms and the pool. People have to go to Kidani to eat.

Those things will most likely not open until Disney opens the hotel, which isn’t looking likely until 2021.
