or something better to represent the U.S.A then the CS Hot Dogs and Burgers they have . We got some good regional foods here and why not let them be sampled. How about Some Chicago Style Pizza, Pennsylvania Dutch Filling and Woopie Pies, Memphis Style ribs, Maryland Crab Cakes, Real Buffalo wings, Wisconsin Brats and Cheese, Northwest Salmon, California Sushi, and many others to name a few.:confused3

DW and I have talked about this for years. It appears the other countries have classic or traditional food. USA gets a backyard bbq. There is no reason a signature chef can't move there. Emeril is at universal. There are many Dis restaurants that cover regional themes but at a park USA needs better than burgers & hot dogs. But it does say alot about Disney looking to fill the bottom of expectations. If they don't offer much how bad could it be.

I think there was a thread about this a while back and people (I included) had suggested that there should be a TS in the American Pavilion with different foods of our culture from around our great Nation. But then on the other hand, would Americans eat there too? I mean we get so much of it when we are not on Disney property, will we want to have a TS dedicated to that? Who knows :confused3

Well I would sure eat there. There are a lot of regional dishes that I've never had just because we don't live in a particular region or know anyone that does and can cook them. I've never had most of the food items suggested by the OP and would love a TS in the host country of Epcot.

I definitely think making it regional would be nice... There are already lots of restaurants at Disney that could be classified as 'American', but that would be a nice unique spin on the idea.

Hm.... I remember a strong thread on this a while back...

LOUISIANA - Gumbo, etouffee... TEXAS bbq... FLORIDA fried oysters, fish, orange dishes...MISSISSIPPI red beans n rice etc...

I can't say that I would eat there though... although it would be a great way to celebrate our different cultures and promote international tourism to our culinary mecca's.... (especially Louisiana... Am I Biased?) LOL

My eldest son is a very picky eater. He thought he was going to starve at WDW. I still remember the first time I took him to WDW. He took one look inside the American Adventure and got so excited, running up to the counter and saying, "oh my goodness, real food, real food, real food finally. I'm not going to starve".:rotfl: I couldn't believe all the countries in Epcot and due to the lousy Mexican food he'd had a few days before in Mexico, he wouldn't even try another country, but got so excited over a hot dog. To tell the truth I'd love to have some really good pizza, TexMex, BBQ, fried catfish, fried shrimp, Cajun food, real brewed sweet tea, etc down there. One question though: what's a whoopie pie?:confused3
