can we eat at rainforest cafe AK without going into the park?

for some reason, i recall going in through an entrance right near the entrance to the park, but i didn't have to go into the park. is this true? if so, i want to make this our last meal before we leave since we're staying at AKL and it would be easy to get to/from the restaurant.

I'm certain there are 2 entrances- one to/from the park and one for non-park guests. I thought there was a turnstile w/ cast member for those wanting to access the park.

You are correct. The main entrance is outside the main gate. If you exit through the back exit there is a cast member manning a turnstile.

There is an entrance to Rainforest before the park entrance, but I think the Rainforest in Downtown Disney is better. I don't know why exactly, it just is.

Personally, I've had terrible meals at both of them AND at the one at DTD at Disneyland in California. I avoid RFC at all costs.

You don't enter AK to eat at RFC, but you do have to go through security. We ate a last day breakfast there 2 years ago and were delayed by the security check.

Also, if you can't get an ADR try calling the RFC directly. Only a few tables are allocated for ADRs
