Can we eat at Kona after checking out of POP?

We would really like to eat at Kona the morning of our departure. My dad thinks we should just check out of POP before heading to the Poly for our 8:05AM reservation so we would drive to the Poly. I just want to make sure this is okay to do. We could always just take the bus to MK and hop on the monorail and then back to the resort to check out but that seems like a lot of work. TIA!

People eat at WDW restaurants without staying on property all the time. Check out first if that's most convenient for you, really nobody cares!!

That's perfectly fine. If you're on the dining plan you have til midnite on the day you check out to use your credits. Either way, all you need to park at Poly is a confirmation number.

If you have an ADR for Kona, there will be no problem at all. Just tell them when you park you are dining at Kona. You will not be able to leave your car there all day. It might be easier to park at the TTC and take the monorail to the poly if you are going to parks after. Your resort parking will be good for the parks all day.

Thanks for the tip. We won't be going to the parks that day. After Kona, we'll be making the 4 hour drive home .

It's very easy to park at the Poly. (And you can stay for 3 hours!) The parking lot is very close to the GCH.
