Absolutely. Just let them know when you sit down 2 of you are on the DDP. Usually they ask if you have the DDP or not. We have eaten with others MANY times while we are on the DDP and they are not.

I don't know much about gastric bypass, but if it would still recuire for her to only eat really small portions, there might be a chance that they'll allow her to pay the child price for the meal. You can probably call and ask about it, but you'll probably have to bring some sort of proof for it.

But how you pay doesn't matter as it's really easy for the server to split your check. When I worked there I sometimes had guests who handed me like 10 different disney gift cards and told me to use what was left on them

At a la carte restaurants it is likely she can order from the children's menu if she wants. At buffets and all you can eat restaurants she will pay the full adult price. There is no pro-rating of the price for guests who eat less.

She will not be able to use child price(even if you have a note from your MD)..I had GB surgery 2009 and have been to WDW 3 times since then and have found no problem finding something to eat and I have used the DDP. I often was able to get an appetizer portion for entree at TS, but also often shared CS meal with DH and he got snack to fill him. There are also places that have great no-sugar added desserts(which is needed post GB surgery).
