Can we do it?

Hi, we are going to visit next June and I want to know if we can do Islands of Adventure in one day? We will be there around the 11th of June. We are thinking that we don't want to go to Universal studios. It doens't seem to have alot of rides. Is that true? We are a large family with three kids ranging from 13 to 8.

Also what is the most reasonable hotel on Universal's property?
And what the prices?

As you can tell, we have never been there before and I'm just now learning,lol.

You have plenty of time to lurk the boards and learn.

June is busy, but not that bad. Kids are just getting out of school.

You can do IOA in a day. If you arrive to the gate at 8am, you can easily do it in 4 hours. What you'll have to do is go on all the rides first, then come back to the play ground areas, because the kids can easily spend a few hours in them.

To add on to the previous post, you can definitely do IOA in 4-6 hours. But you have to get there early, and it is easier if you stay onsite and use the FOTL access. The most reasonably priced resort would be the Royal Pacific. It is their "moderate" resort, (but looks like a deluxe resort) and you can get rates as low as $110 with entertainment, annual pass holder, etc.

Good luck and you will become a pro in no time. I have been on these boards for about a month while I have been planning my vacation and everyone here is so helpful in educating you on this wonderful vacation destination!

I'm more of an IOA kind of person, but the rest of my family loved US. Your kids will probably like Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, Twister, Men In Black, Back to the Future. Your youngest will probably like ET--okay, we all liked ET, it was fun.

If you stay on-site, you should have no problem doing what you want to do.
