We were wanting to eat bfast before MK November 1 and the only time I could get was 8:05. If we go, say 15 minuted before the reservation, What time would we make it to MK/ Is there any way we could make rd?

RD is Rope Drop. It's the official opening of the park. Before that time they allow guests only so far into the park (the end of Main Street or Hollywood Blvd., for example). Once the official park opening time rolls around they remove the ropes to let the guests in.

And to the OP...I agree with everyone else. There's no way you'll make RD with an 8:05 ADR. You'll probably get there not too long after park opening, but not in time for RD. But...I highly doubt you'll need an ADR for the Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast in early November. I'd show up around 7:15/7:30 and see if they could seat you.

Unless you planned on just getting a coffee for breakfast or something, no, you'll almost certainly miss the rope drop. You'd probably arrive shortly after the park opens though.

I dunno, I think it MIGHT be possible. If you go 15 mins earlier like you said you would, breakfast is the quickest TS meal of the day. The GFC is actually pretty quick, or at least it was every time we ate breakfast there. You'll have to catch transportation right on time but I think it COULD work! :)

I was just thinking if we were seated a bit early and knew our order before we got there from menus online, it might be possible. I read monorail to mk is like 3 minutes. But I did not know how long to wait for food. We are teachers and unfortunately eat quick. We have literally been in and out of a full service restaurant in less than an hour. It might be tight, but we would reaaly like to try breakfast there. Anybody know what time they leave gf for ropedrop?

1) They open at 8:00pm
2) Let's do the math,
. . . 2-minutes to get to table (if you are the furst in line)
. . . 2-minutes to drop purses, place drink order, etc
. . . 2-minutes to walk to buffet and get plate, utensils
. . . 10-minutes to go through the buffet the first time
. . . 2-minutes to return to table and arrange plate
. . . 15-minutes to eat
. . . 0-minutes for bill (assume waitress did it during the eating time)
. . . 5-minutes, walk to monorail
. . . 5-minutes wait for next monorail
. . . 3-minutes to load monorail and be on way
. . . 5-minutes to MK station
. . . 3-minutes to walk from station to security check point
. . . 3-minutes to get through turnstiles
. . . 5-minutes total (conservatively)
3) if you gobble the grub, you might just make it.
4) If everything works to the minute.

I think they wanted to eat at GFC...no buffet :)

My daughter and I did it last year. Check out the menu ahead of time and you will be able to order as soon as you are seated. We actually arrived about 30 minutes early so that we could walk around the GF and Ooohh and Awwwww at the furnishings, chandeliers and such.

*On the breakfast, I recommend the Steak & Eggs and my daughter (6) recommends the Mickey Waffles*

Ooh, I have to recommend the Stuffed Croissant (I used to get it with a side of corned beef hash, but they don't appear to have the hash anymore). We at there twice in one trip and I had it both times, then had it the next year, as well. YUM.

1) Oops.
2) I misread.
3) Either it was too late at noght, or one of those "Senior Things".
4) Then the answer is even easier - "no".
5) The service at the Cafe is slower than at a buffet.
