Can we bring our refillable mugs?

We bought these on our first time staying at POR, and were told they'd be good if we ever came back. Are they?

No. They are only good for the remainder of the stay during which you bought them.

You do whatever you want. Some people say don't, because technically it's good only for your stay, unless you bought it in like 1995 or something, and some people justify using it again by saying that the soda is only like a penny or something.

Disney is not going to stop you, so you just do whatever you want to do.

Technically the rule is though, it is only good for the length of your stay, unless, like I said, you bought it 20 years ago when they were meant to be used forever.

It was 2002, but they did tell us we could use it when we came back.

Yea the ones that were sold "indefinately" were sold way back in the 90's. They probably told you that because they don't really care. The ones sold in the 2000's were meant to be used for your trip and that trip only. But like I said, they don't care, so if you don't care, no ones going to stop you.

However, you might get dirty looks from your fellow vacationers so be prepared.

Hee Hee....DD is a no nonsense girl when it comes to rules and following them....I had to stop her from pointing out VERY loudly all the people who had different mugs then ours. When I told her they brought them from past visits, I thought she was going to sound an alarm!

Ahhh - the great refillable mug debate......

Just got back from POP and saw lots and lots of people at the drink machines. Couldn't tell you if they were using old or new mugs. Wasn't paying any attention, way too busy enjoying my vacation.

If you were told by a CM that your mugs were good and you want to bring them then you should do what you want. You could always double-check with a CM just to be sure. I doubt anyone will notice or care. It's really between you and Disney.

Now the use of flash photography on the rides after a CM tells you not to - that's a policy I wish people would follow - since it actually does affect the people around them......

I have a mug question. Now that they switched the mugs to be the same at all the resorts except CSR, can you use a mug that you buy at the resort where you are staying at another resort if you are going to use their food court? In the same trip of course.

Oh yeah - just wait until tomorrow - there'll be pages and pages. Refillable mugs and pool hopping at the resort. Grab some popcorn and watch the fireworks. LOL

Technically they are only good for the stay in which they were bought (that's what the current mugs state on them). I guess you could bring them and use them but I have a feeling you might get looks from other guests. I didn't see any other mugs other than the current style in the food court at our resort. We did see some in the lake though (not sure if they got there on accident or on purpose).

Yes, you can use the mug at any of the food courts whether you bought the mug at that specific resort. We filled ours at other resorts while we were there eating and no one said anything.

If you purchased them at POR and were told you could bring them back, then you can always ask when you get back to POR if they are still 'good'. The CM's there will give you the most accurate information.

As it stands now, the mugs are for length of stay only, and you may have run into the new mugs in your subsequent trips since 2002.

I'd bring the mugs and just ask, the worst that they can do is say no at POR.
