Yes you can upgrade and there is no fee as long as it is w/in a certain amount of time 5 days or more before arrival but I think that mostly pertains to the dates, resort accomadations and dining. As for the ticket itself upgrading it is just like if you purchased a base ticket and decided to upgraded to a hopper or just add more days to it.
AFTER you check-in at our resort, you can upgrade any or all of your tickets any way you would like. It will cost the same dollar amount to do it in advance as part of the package as it would to upgrade the tickets after checking in; in other words, there's no advance purchase discount, and there's no fee or penalty for upgrading during your vacation itself.
The advantage to doing it after checking in is that it allows you 45 more days to save up the money for the number of park days that you want, so your instinct is correct (assuming you booked a package, since the balance on a package is due no later than 45 days prior to your trip).
Yes, you can as long as you still have at least one day on the package park ticket. You can upgrade to non-expiring, too, if for some reason, like someone was sick two days while you were there, and didn't use them as long as you do it before you leave, I think. It never hurts to ask whatever it is you want to do.
I was hoping the answers would say yes as we were told yes when we booked since 5 days was only $2 cheaper then 6 days for park hopper. Now we have decided to tour the resorts on 2 days while we are there so we may end up not using three of our tickets. I just wish we could do No Expiration for only those three days, but I would rather pay the No Expire then lose them all together and since we are doing it, we will up from 6 days to 10 days to save the money in the long run! Next time we come we will have 7 days of tickets saved up... or save those for another time Have fun!
If someone's ticket is not used at all, it does not need non-expiration.
If three days have been used, it is not worth adding non-expiration (and perhaps more days) unless the ticket will cover an entire future vacation (not necessarily your next).
What if someone who has the Free ticket upgrade ticket package booked? Would this work for them as well? Meaning when you add the additional days on at checkin will those tickets also include the free upgrades? Hope that makes sense.
This is a similar question, so I'm going to add it here. If I purchase a package with the free upgraded tickets for the first week of March, may we upgrade to an AP during our stay?
