Hi

We will be in Universal and IOA on Presidents Day 2/19

We bought Universal and IOA passes for 2 parks, & the express pass. My question is, do you think we can do both parks in one day? Which park do suggest, we should go to first?

We are so excited. We have never been to Universal. Is IOA like Great Adventure?

We know it's going to be crowed because it's a holiday and from reading the boards, but I am hoping the express pass will help a bit.

Any advice?

Thanks

Patricia

IOA is NOTHING like Great Adventure.....it's way better! :cool1: If you have purchased the EPPlus, you will get the Express entrance to each ride one time. Yes, you should be able to cover almost all of the major attractions at least once in each park. You may have to pass on the "minor" attractions and miss some shows, because of the crowds, but if you make it a full day from opening to closing, you might catch all the major attractions. Have fun and welcome to the dark side!

Hi,
I agree...IOA is nothing like Great Adventure. First off, it's clean and the workers aren't rude!! We have done both parks in one day the last 3 times that we went to Florida. I suggest getting there in enough time to get into the park as soon as it opens. Also, and this is important, learn as much as you can about both parks either by surfing the net or buying one of the travel planning guides. That way you'll be able to have an idea what the park is like and what rides/shows you really don't want to miss. Have fun!

We loved Great Adventure but the two parks can't be compared. You'll see that as soon as you start approaching the park.

If you've got the two park express pass you should be able to do the parks commando style. Not a very enjoyable way to do the parks but probably doable.

I am going to the library tommrow for some books & try to follow a plan.

Yes, we did buy the express plus passes for both parks. We plan on staying all day untill late in the eve

Thanks for all the advice :thumbsup2

Patricia

i would recommend "Universal Orlando" by Kelly Monoghan.....an excellent book devoted to UO 100%!! Covers both parks, CityWalk, all 3 hotels, all the restaurants, and more! It's not expensive to just outright buy it either...

with the express pass, you shouldn't have too much of a problem. I would start out at IOA - get there at opening if you can. They tend to be busier than US, and the early AM is the slowest time. I have done both parks in one day, but that was on a weekday in mid-january and there were almost no lines whatsoever.

Yes, both parks can be done in 1 day, but I'd advise you skip the water rides, otherwise you'll be walking thru USF soaked.
Start at IOA, take a lap doing the major attractions. Most start with Hulk and go clockwise, Dr. Doom, Spiderman. You can ride JPRA if you sit in the back.
Next it's Deuling Dragons. Posiden's Fury usually opens at 11am. Do a few kiddie rides if you want, then head over to USF. Take advantage of the single rider line for The Mummy and MIB. You'll be together in line, probably in the same car, just seated in different rows.

Thank you robvia, I am going to take your advice!!
