Can those discount cards be used in this situation

I may be wrong but I thought there are certain benefits to be gained by showing your Loews Card and/or Fan Club Card at check-in.

Is this true? If it is true what are the benefits? I heard upgrades are possible.

Secondly is there any problem if we booked our room using AAA discounts.

If you give your Loews number you will receive a welcome gift in your room, free use of the work-out room as well as possible upgrades. You most certainly can book with AAA and still receive the Loews benefits.
