Can this work? Moving days from one ressie to another

We have 5 consecutive nights reserved on points. We have the next 2 nights reserved for the same exact location and accommodation in a 2nd reservation. What I want to do is get the 5th night of the first reservation switched to the 2nd reservation and make it 4 nights followed by 3 nights. The reason I'm doing this is so a guest can use the first 4 and we can use the last 3. Can this be done without losing the night we move to the wait list or something?

Good question - I think you should ask MS. Sounds a bit tricky to accomplish. Not sure I'd want to risk it if there were waitlists for my dates.

What if you waited until all waitlists expired (7 day mark) and then asked MS to do it? No waitlists to worry about then. If necessary, you could change the name on the 5 day reservation to your guest's name and do the rest after the 7 day mark passes.

Your back up plan could be to ask for / pay for a full housekeeping service on your guests real check out day and getting the front desk to change the names on the reservation and then keep you in the same room.

If no one is getting the Dining Plan you could add your name to the whole reservation (assuming it wouldn't put you over the occupancy for the room). That might make it easier to change things around at the front desk.

I called MS this morning. My reservations are a mess. I definitely will lose that night to the wait list if I drop it. There's no way to move it over. I don't want to do anything with the first 5 nights because I am planning to post it as a reservation for rent...once I reach the 30 day mark. I'm past my banking deadline since I have Dec UY. This would not have been as bad if I had still had until Sept. 30 to bank.

I hope everything is settled before the 7-day mark, but thanks for that idea as a back-up.
