Can this rate be right??

Back in May 08 we booked atandard rooms at the ASMu resort April 3-11 with AAA. The AAA was not released yet to they just quoted us regular rates and said call back when AAA is released. We were quoted 119 a night plus tax =$134.47. On 8/3/08 I was able to add the AAA rate and now with the AAA rate the price is 121.50 per night plus tax = 137.30 a night. Should the AAA rate really make it go up. I realize it is the week before Easter, do you think this is why. I would have expected the rate to drop with AAA not increase. Did they maybe not apply the AAA and just quote me the regular 2009 rate? Anyone have any insight?

It looks like your trip is following into the Easter week Peak catagory. I think when you originally booked they quoted you 2008 regular season rate. But since you are actually going at a peak time it is very possible even with the AAA savings that you will pay more then originally quoted. The 2009 Easter nightly price is $135. So assuming the AAA discount is 20% the price you were quoted the second time around ($121.50) seems right to me.

Actually AAA Discount is 10% for peak/15% for reg./20% for value. That is probably the difference. This year your dates were regular rate and next year will be peak. Book your trip and visit here often and maybe there will be a code come out for your trip time. If ressies are dropped before being paid, which they most likely will next year, disney will most likely start doing deals. I saved over $200 over my AAA discount this year by keeping up with the new codes.

I'm curious- did you try to book the 4/3 deal. You would save alot more over the AAA rate.

Yes, the 4/3 deal is a better price than the AAA rate.

I've priced out my trip at regular rates, AAA rates, January to March deal and 4/3. The 4/3 is by far the best price, plus we are going in March so we get the $200 gift card.
