Can this be done?

We have the opportunity to visit WDW this summer with some friends of ours. They will be going for 7 nights and renting a 2 bedroom villa at OKW. They are getting a package through a travel agent with MYW tickets with dining. My problem is that we would only be able to join them for 5 nights. Is there any way to add 2 people for just part of the trip? What if we just added us to the resort portion of the reservation and we could buy our tickets seperately (without dining of course!)?

Or, and I am just asking...not saying we will do this!...what would happen if we just stayed in the room without adding us to the reservation? We would still be under the limit of 8 people. Is there some way Disney would know we were there? What would be the disadvantages to not being listed on the reservation? Thanks for any input you can give!

If you are not listed on the reservation, then you do not get room keys, which are needed to gain access to the parks for early and late extra magic hours. I would suggest that you have them add your names to the room/reservation when you arrive for the first night you will be joining them. Explain that you do not need the package with the tickets. I am not sure about the MYW package details, but when we were there in September with the 7 for 5 package, it stated that all members of the party must purchase the length of stay ticket that came with the package. However, my MIL joined us for part of the stay and the front desk had no problem adding her to the reservation so she could have a key. She didn't have to buy the length of stay ticket.
