The ultimate place that my DW and I would love to stay is Grand Floridian.

Can this be booked using points or would it be better just paying cash for reservation.

The easy answer to your question is yes, it can be done.

But would it be better to use points or pay cash? That's a tough one to answer. You'll need to look at the points chart on the DVC member site to see how may points it would take for the room you want when you are traveling. Then multiply the number of points by $10 to get an estimate of what it's actually costing you in DVC points as compared to the price of just paying for a room. (That $10 is based on the current point rental rates that people have reported getting. )

Yes....but you better have A LOT of points!

To pay cash booking through Disney is just under £300 per night. Would love to stay for a couple of nights, maybe another time, cant justify the points.

In addition to the high number of points required, there is also a $95 non-refundable charge just to make the reservation.

You can make the reservations with points, but they seem very high.

I would guess paying cash would cost less and save the points.

Since points/prices vary by season, you should just price it out if you have an idea of how much per point your cost is.

Good luck in decision making
