Can this be done w/ multiple ressies?? AP question

Hi guys! Well this is gonna sound nuts but I wonder if it will work...I was told by more than one CM that I could do it closer to travel dates. Here is what happened:

I made a ressie for Jan. 1 by itself at rack rate for a stn. Pop room. Then I made a ressie for Jan. 2-5 w/ the AP discount. The AP discount didn't apply to Jan. 1 so I had to make this trip two separate ressies. So that puts us at two ressies. The CM said I could add the dining plan as close as 6 days before the trip and that it would make my ressie a package and I would have to pay the rest off. This is fine b/c we owe around 100.00 for it...then would have to pay for the dining.

Well...then dh starts in with wanting to go on New Year's Eve...even if it's crowded and nuts. So, I have been calling and checking the website for a month or so and lo and behold...tonight they had a stn. room at the Pop available for Dec. 31!!!! I was thrilled but now I have a THIRD ressie!! ARGH! Had to pay for the whole night of course as the deposit! Still...we got it!

So...my question is this: With these three ressies, how hard is it to add the dining plan??? I don't want to do it till around mid December b/c we are gonna have to pay off the dining and room since it will turn it into a package. Anyone had trouble doing this?? The AP site says I can get the dining plan now w/ a room only ressie. How should I go about doing this?? What should I expect? Any advice?? THANKS!!

Not hard, just time consuming. Each res will have to be cancelled and rebooked as the passholder dining package and god forbid you get a CM that doesnt know what theyre doing and cant get you the AP discount on the 1/2-5 package. Give yourself enough time from the cancelled room onlies to get your money refunded since your packages will have to be payed in full.

Have you tried to book from 12/31 to 1/5 as one ressie online under the AP section? It should only apply the AP rate to the nights it's available and then you'd have one ressie with dining together. When I've checked rates online under the AP area, it's given me mixed regular and discounted rates before. Just a thought!

ETA: This isn't working like I thought it would. I can get from 1/1 on to come up, but you would need to keep 12/31 separate. Also, it was Sports that kept coming up, not POP. I didn't specifically try Music or Movies though. The rate is good though - $49/night. Moderate was only $89/night.
I think what I've done before was dates that were all included in the period, but just no discounts on certain dates.
