Can they GUARANTEE connecting rooms at Value resorts?

Hi everyone! We are considering adding a Friday and Saturday night onto our five nights at OKW (renting Sun-thurs points). There are 4 of us: me, my dh, and our two boys 6 and 8. We would love to take our 6 year old to All Star movies because is he autistic and Disney obsessed and we just know he would love it there! Problem of course is that the rooms are small. We were hoping to maybe get two rooms (when codes come out) that are connecting. Either one king room and a double room or two doubles, we dont care. If you book connecting rooms-not adjoining, but actually connecting, is that something they can guarantee? We would also be open to maybe staying over at POR and getting a trundle bed to have a little bit more sleeping room, or if good discounts come out getting a bunk bed room at WL, but we just love the themeing at ASMo.It will only be for two nights so we might stay at ASMo in one room if we have to, but has anyone stayed in these rooms with two kids of that age range? We have only stayed in these rooms with one king bed and just two of us. We will probably be bringing one of those inflatable ready beds anyway for our stay at OKW since my 6 year old does not like to share his bed so that my help. Thanks for any advice!

You can request connecting rooms; but that is all that it is a request. They can not guarantee it. However, they will do their very best to try and make sure that you will get what you requested if at all possible. Hope that helps!

All requests are just that - requests - they cannot be guaranteed.

You would pay extra for the trundle bed, so you would get that. The bunk beds at the WL are requests.

I have been in the All-Stars with two 13 year olds and 2 adults with no problem.

I think if you explain your situation with your son they will do everything in their power to make sure you have connecting rooms. What time did you plan on arriving? Remember the earlier you check-in the better your chances. A friend and I took my daughters we asked for connecting rooms. We had to wait til after 3 for our rooms to be ready. Another time when My ex and I took our kids we went last minute (meaning I called that morning and got reservations) they had us booked at music and movies. Said they only had 1 room in each available. We checked into Music and they said only the one room was available. When we went to check into Movies the wonderful CM said she had more rooms available if we wanted to be in the same hotel (which we did) and we even got connecting rooms.

So don't worry. Just let the CM making your reservations know that you are traveling with small kids and they will take care of you.

Thanks everyone! I think I will try to book the two rooms and hope for the best after explaning the situation. Do you know that if when we get there and we can't get the two rooms if they will charge us to cancel one of the rooms or will they take a big penalty for this? Or should I book one room and then plan on having the one room, and when we get there ask if there are any we could add on at check in? We will be there at a fairly slow time, the last week of January. Thanks!

I have a reservation for the 7 for 5 deal and I also added a room only ressie to it. The CM said they will guarantee it since the extra room is for my children. My paper reservation came in the mail and it says...

"Special Request: Guaranteed Connecting Rooms"
"Please Note: Conn Rms"

So my thinking is I will get connecting rooms! Let them know when you make the reservation it is for the kids.

We stayed at POP last week and were guaranteed connecting rooms. We have 5 kids, so with a family of 7 people we needed two rooms connecting.

I was paranoid that we would not get connecting rooms but the CM who took our reservation said it would be guaranteed. Still worried, I called POP the morning of our arrival. I spoke to the front desk to confirm the connecting rooms. All worked out fine.

I will go agead and make my reservation for two rooms, explaining the situation with my son. Then if they can't guarantee connecting rooms I will just book the one. I don't want to book and pay for two, and then end up not getting them connecting and losing money because we would have to cancel one on check in. Maybe I will try again when we get there at check in and maybe we will get it. Either that or bring my son's friend along so we can get the connecting rooms 2 adults, 3 kids.
What would happen if we got there and we were short a kid? Would we still get the room if my son's friend cancelled?

I originally booked two rooms at POP & yes they told me because we had kids it WOULD be guaranteed - I even called back a couple of times & they confirmed it each time I called.

Connecting room ARE guaranteed for families.

This is one of the few guarantees you can get.

It is my understanding that since your 2 children are minors that you will be guaranteed connecting rooms. If the 1st CM says no then I would call back.

you could also try calling special needs services, they can gaurantee connecting rooms for you if you have a special needs person in your party.
