can the baby ride on my lap

This will be our first trip to disney-we are going Dec 8-12. our kids are 5, 2 1/2 and 1. I am thinking that most of the rides sit 2-4 people-can I sit my daughter on our lap, or does she need to be actually strapped into a seatbelt? (I am thinking kiddie rides, obviously not coasters!!). I was wondering about the safari though, will they let me put her on my lap?

If I can recall correctly, they must be sitting...not on lap. Not 100% sure but 99.9%.

My 5 1/2 month old daughter rode on my lap on the safari in June.

My infant sits on my lap. He's been on POTC, Buzz Lightyear space ranger spin, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, transit authority, Spaceship earth, Mexico's ride, Living with the land, Universe of Energy, Kilamangaro Safari. Also, don't miss the baby care centers. They are fabulous. They sanitize the changing tables frequently, it's air conditioned, has high chairs, a movie playing, rockers for nursing, etc.

Lap-sitting is perfectly fine on the Safari

I often do wish we had lap-bars in the Safari vehicles, though. It's astounding how many folks stand up, let their kids stand up or stand on their laps, or even hold up dangling infants while on Safari. Sometimes it's downright scary!!

I'm thinking that any ride that would require a seatbelt/restraint would also have a height requirement that a 1 or 2 year old couldn't meet anyway (except for rides like Peter Pan or the Haunted Mansion.....if a bar lowers on a vehicle like that, you should have the child seated next to you )
